Jason graduated with a Master of Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Human Kinetics from the University of British Columbia. Upon returning to Vancouver, he has gained extensive experience working in private practice orthopaedic physiotherapy clinics. Jason has completed numerous post-graduate courses which include a Certificate of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (COMT) through Manual Concepts at Curtin University in Perth, Australia. He is certified to perform both medical acupuncture (CAFCI) and Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (CGIMS). He has also completed the Intergrated Systems Model with Diane Lee and LJ Lee and the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) which focuses on incorporating the whole body to identify non-optimal movements that may explain dysfunction and pain in other areas of the body. Jason is a Certified Level 2 Titleist Performance Institute Medical Professional (TPI) which specializes in golf specific assessments and treatments and has completed the Running Specialist course through The Running Clinic. Currently, he is completing CranialSacral Therapy courses through the Upledger institute and neural manipulation courses with the Barral Institute.

Jason’s assessment/treatment approach is patient specific and focused around the patient’s goals. He utilizes manual therapy (joint mobilization/manipulation), acupuncture/IMS and movement retraining to help patients restore their function and confidence to return to sports or daily activities.

He has a keen interest in sports and has worked with athletes ranging in various sports. During his undergraduate studies, he was a strength and conditioning coach for a Vancouver minor hockey team and was an athletic trainer for the UBC football team. He has also covered various high school and Canadian Inter-University Sport tournaments. In his spare time you can find Jason traveling and staying active by playing hockey, golfing, running, practicing yoga or in the gym.
