APA Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Teryn qualified as a Physiotherapist from UBC after getting a firm understanding of the body through a Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Physiology at the University of Calgary. Her early years in the world of private practice physiotherapy left her with many questions which pushed her to pursue further studies. In 2014 she completed a post-graduate Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland. After completing her studies, she incorporated research assistant and clinical education work at the University of Queensland along-side her clinical work. She has now returned to Vancouver after 7 years working and teaching around Australia and Canada.

Teryn believes that each patient’s treatment needs to be uniquely designed to match their goals, lifestyle and injury. During her studies, Teryn developed a passion for treating neck related problems including headaches and neck-related dizziness. She treats these injuries with the same type of approach she would a sprained ankle, with focused hands-on treatment and active rehabilitation.  Her aim is to help her patients overcome their injury get back to living their best life using a combination of manual therapy, dry needling, education and exercise prescription.

Outside the clinic Teryn is a keen Ultimate Frisbee player. She has been able to combine her passion for physio and Ultimate while working with Australian teams at the World Beach Ultimate Championships in France in 2017. When not on the playing field, she loves all sorts of outdoor adventures including hiking, climbing, skiing, the list goes on…

Teryn specializes in Manual Therapy, Sensorimotor Rehabilitation, Vestibular Rehabilitation, Integrated Dry Needling, and Real-Time Ultrasound.
