Golf Assessments in Downtown Vancouver

If you suffer from Low Back Pain, Shoulder Impingement or other pain syndromes while playing Golf, a TPI Golf Assessment is the perfect way to get to the root of your problem.  Even in you’re not currently experiencing pain or other symptoms, a TPI Assessment can help prevent future Golf Injuries while improving your skill and performance.  It’s an ideal way to take a few strokes off your handicap.

Our golf assessment incorporates the Titleist Performance Institute principles with physiotherapy assessments and treatments. The assessment is suitable for all levels of golfers. All clients will be provided an individual exercise program aimed at correcting specific dysfunctional movements. Physiotherapy treatments may be recommended if there are underlying issues that need to be addressed. We will provide recommendations and communicate with a fitness or golf professional your are working with.

The role of a TPI Medical Professional is to:

  • Identify physical limitations and dysfunctional movement patterns which may limit your performance
  • Help return from injury or manage injuries that are limiting your play
  • Prehabilitative/Injury prevention such as inidivualized off season programs, warm ups
  • Improve the consistency/efficiency of your swing
  • Increase the longevity of your game

TPI does no believe in one way to swing a club, rather in an infinite number of swing styles. But, we do believe there is one efficient way for every player to swing and it is based on what the player an physically do.

The most efficient swing is not the same for every golfer, because efficiency is unique to their body. To achieve an efficient swing, a golfer must first be screened. This screen involves an assessment of swing mechanics and bio-mechanics physical fitness, movement quality, current health and a client history.

Once this screen is finished, the results are used to create a plan unique for that golfer. The plan may include fitness training, physical therapy, and treatment, coaching of swing mechanics and bio-mechanics, nutrition, mental strategy or all of the above.
