What To Expect During Your Scolio-Pilates Class
It is common to have issues either in your knee, foot, elbow or wrist. The majority of us are managing some sort of issue on a day-to-day basis, but there are only a few of us that understand what it’s like to suffer from full body pain. What makes Scolio-Pilates unique is that it addresses the whole body in order to decrease or eliminate discomfort or pain, thereby improving function and quality of life. The approach is simple and two-fold:
- Strengthening into an improved neutral spine.
- Releasing short myofascial units with Advanced Myofascial Techniques
The sessions themselves are typically around 60 min, and you’ll be doing a variety of exercises guided and prepped by one of our amazing therapists. If it’s your first time, we will take some time to understand you and your body; we want to know what your goals are, what your limitations currently are and what you hope to achieve through these private sessions.
Each of the exercises that we ask you to do requires concentration of the body and the mind. We focus on the core muscles which support good posture, toning and muscle building. Depending on what your goals are we can customize your plan to facilitate that.
